Sidley's £10,000 windfall from its favourite son

SIDLEY’S favourite son Eddie Izzard has generously donated £10,000 to the
community association.

The money was raised from ticket sales for his sell-out show at the De La
Warr Pavilion last month.

Some £1,600 was raised from programme and merchandise sales alone.

The money will go into general funds for improvements at the Young People’s
Centre in Ninfield Road.

Eddie’s father John, treasurer of the community association, said: “Eddie is
supporting the village where his family grew up.”
