Eddie Izzard Hits New Zealand
Xtramsn.com | 08.11.03

British cross-dressing stand-up comedian Eddie Izzard talks to Newstalk ZB's Katie Duncan about his world tour which is in Auckland on Thursday, then Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin.

He brands himself an average, coarse-mouthed, action transvestite talking about stuff he has seen on the telly.

He also says he will be injecting timely political humour into his current tour.

Izzard likes to pass information on to his audiences, and is currently looking into the philosophy of Islam.

He uses a little humour about misguided attitudes towards Muslims, and describes Mohammed as a rather groovy guy.

Extra shows have been scheduled for Auckland and Wellington - he is also performing in Christchurch and Dunedin.

The first Auckland show is on Wednesday night.
